Austrian City Uses QR Codes and NFC Enabled Stickers As Library

The Austrian city Klagenfurt does not have a public library in the city, but an initiative Project Ingeborg is turning the city into a library of eBooks in a way.

There are 70 QR Codes and NFC enabled Stickers throughout the city so when a person scans the QR code or uses an NFC enabled device with the NFC Stickers they are taken to web pages where they can download public domain works. Come August, the team behind the effort will partner with local talent to distribute books, music and other digital content.
